Michael S. Potts was born in New Mexico and lived there for twenty years before joining the United States Navy and serving his country for twenty-two years. He then began a career with the United States Forest Service and worked on the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest for several years before moving to Washington, D.C. He is new to fiction and writes about the country he knows and men and women he admires: strong people who helped build America when the only law in the West was a big man with a fast gun.
