Crossings - eBook

$9.99

A ghost town. Murders. Revenge. Beautiful landscapes. Resolute people. Scars. Rebirth. Life.

"Crossings" is a collection of Eastern Shore stories that delve into the complex relationships and histories that exist here on the Delmarva Peninsula. These stories look at the tumultuous bond between man and nature and the price man must frequently pay for his naive mistakes. Even in a civilized society, the ugliness of man shows itself and ordinary citizens must pay the ultimate price.

Stephanie L. Fowler was born in Salisbury, Maryland. She attended Parkside High School where she won the Old Home Prize in 1997 for her senior thesis on the history of downtown Salisbury.

Following her passion for writing, she attended Washington College in Chestertown, Maryland. Washington College is well known for its writing program and, in May 2001, she was awarded the Sophie Kerr Prize for literature. The Sophie Kerr Prize, unique to Washington College, is the largest undergraduate literary award in the United States. Her entry was "Crossings" - a series of creative non-fiction short stories about the Eastern Shores of Maryland and Virginia.
