This historical fiction novel is written around the framework of letters, written to the author's great-great-grandparents Robert and Sephrona Clark McCollom from friends and relatives on the Western frontier. The time period of this novel takes place during the first 61 years of the nineteenth century. Survival was not easy, even before the Civil War.
Dr. J. Alan Adams is the co-author of three engineering textbooks. He holds the title of Professor Emeritus of Engineering from the U.S. Naval Academy. He obtained a BSME degree from the University of Arkansas, as well as a MSME and PhD degrees from Purdue University. He served active duty in the U.S. Air Force for three years as an officer in the Air Defense Command. He currently resides in Annapolis, Maryland with his wife. Apple Blossoms is his first novel.
